Who is Shanil Ebrahim?

Shanil Ebrahim, a Partner and the National Life Sciences and Healthcare Consulting Leader at Deloitte Canada, is a trusted leader in healthcare. His extensive experience and deep understanding of the industry make him a valuable resource for the global healthcare community.
Shanil has made a significant global impact, working internationally with public and private health sector organizations to deliver evidence-based strategies, health technology implementations, and medical innovations. His expertise spans health systems, hospitals, retail pharmacies, and the pharmaceutical industry where he has developed enterprise population health platforms and patient-centric, outcomes-oriented models for major organizations. Additionally, Shanil has led complex engagements, including health system capacity decision support solutions, digital health implementations, and the development of new offerings for those suffering from cancer and chronic conditions.
Shanil held a joint appointment as a Researcher at Stanford University and Assistant Professor at McMaster University. He has also served as Board Chair and Board Director for two not-for-profit organizations focused on supportive housing and disability support for children. He holds a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology, an MSc in Medical Science and Bioethics, and a BSc in Psychology. His contributions to healthcare were recently recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.
